Police: Drunk Teen Causes Commotion

Sleepy Hollow police report that a teenager was arrested on March 31 for disorderly conduct and taken to the hospital for intoxication.

A Howard Street resident called Sleepy Hollow police early in the morning on March 31 to report a commotion or a fight going on in front of his home.

Officers reported they had a young man under arrest at the scene just after 2:30 a.m.

An 18-year-old from Sleepy Hollow was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Police requested an ambulance and medic to come to headquarters, reporting the man was “unable to effectively verbally communicate” due to his apparent state of intoxication. He was transported to Phelps Memorial Hospital.

An hour later, police responded to numerous calls for gunshots on Beekman Avenue. They arrested the alleged shooter, Sean Ward, now charged with two counts of attempted murder with two victims hospitalized.

At 5:19 a.m., police reported an argument between two people in front of police headquarters. The two were separated and interviewed, police reporting all okay was resolved at the time.
