Police: Man Tries to Climb into Estate Window

Security says they saw a man trying to enter the Tarrytown House Estate who then fled in a Honda.

A Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center security worker came across a man trying to climb into a window, police report.

A caller on March 31 at 4:55 a.m. reported to Tarrytown police that a man was trying to enter a window of a room in the King House. When security confronted the man, he apparently ran off, entering a dark Honda Accord with NY plates.

Security described him as a white man with a bald head, short, approximately 5’2” in height, wearing a black leather jacket and black pants with large side pockets.

Officers searched the area and put the man's information out over their hotline.

The case is under investigation, Tarrytown Lt. William Herguth said.
