Police: Teen Arrested for DUI Drugs

A Pleasantville 18-year-old, originally reported as missing from Dobbs Ferry, was pulled over by Sleepy Hollow Police after driving erratically.

An 18-year-old from Pleasantville was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs, report Sleepy Hollow police.

On April 5, at 12:01 p.m., a caller reported to police that a driver in front of her had been driving erratically. The driver had been on County House Road and was now turning onto Bedford Road. The green Honda Civic with NY plates was allegedly stopping short and weaving throughout the lane.

Officers soon reported stopping the car in question at Route 9 and New Broadway. They placed the teenager under arrest with a charge of DUID. The car, which officers reported had damage to the front passenger side bumper, was towed.

A police check revealed that the driver had been reported missing from Dobbs Ferry. Sleepy Hollow police contacted Dobbs Ferry police, who said the teen went missing from the Children’s Village, however an administrator at the Dobbs ferry facility for vulnerable youths said the teen had been discharged.

Police also reported a driving while intoxicated arrest in Sleepy Hollow.

On April 12 at 12:29 a.m., police arrested a 47-year-old man from Sleepy Hollow on a DWI charge. Officers reported that a traffic stop on Old Broadway resulted in the arrest. The man's car was impounded.
