Police: Woman Flees Phelps

A woman scheduled for transport to another facility apparently fled the ER in a friend's SUV, Sleepy Hollow Police report.

A caller to police from Phelps Memorial Hospital reported that a female patient had left the emergency room without checking out on April 7 at 11:49 p.m.

They requested police assistance to locate this woman.

The patient was apparently involuntarily committed by a doctor to go to Summit Park hospital in Pomona. An ambulance was meant to transport the patient at 1 a.m. but instead she reportedly fled the hospital with her friend in a silver colored SUV Lexus with NY plates.

Officers reported being unable to find the vehicle at the time.
