Sleepy Hollow Police Crack Down on Drinking in Streets
A summary of recent police activity and arrests in the village of Sleepy Hollow.

Busy Prisoner
A prisoner arrested by South Hampton Court and currently being held at Yaphank Jail on Long Island on September 5 was wanted by Sleepy Hollow police for failure to show in court here on a former DWI charge.
The defendant, a 48-year-old man from Queens, was charged on Long Island with possession of a forged instrument on $10,000 cash bail.
First, police informed our department that the prisoner would be held at Yaphank and then transferred to Suffolk County Court for a warrant there, and then we could process them here.
Verizon Fraud
A person came into Sleepy Hollow police headquarters on September 6 to report that his name and social security number had been used by an unknown person to open a Verizon cell phone account. The phone had three cell phones attached to it.
