Youth Play-Fighting Results in Back Injury

A Sleepy Hollow youth was treated at Phelps Memorial Hospital after getting tackled to the ground by a friend.

Sleepy Hollow police were called to a 100 College Avenue apartment after a youth allegedly hit another youth in the park on April 7 at 5:43 p.m.

An officer on the scene requested an ambulance, reporting that a youth had been play-fighting with his friends and was tackled to the ground, hurting his lower back with the impact.

His friend said he was tackled by his friend pretty hard but that they were indeed play-fighting.

The injured youth was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital, and police notified all the parents of youths involved.
