1950s Exhibit Puts LI History on Display at Long Island Museum
"Long Island: America's 1950s Frontier" will be on display until Dec. 30.

The latest exhibit at the Long Island Museum of Art, History and Carriages is all about postwar Long Island, an exhibit recently featured in Newsday.
Themes of social commentary resonate in the exhibit as Long Island underwent a transformation "from a sleepy outpost to a booming suburb," according to the feature.
"Many of the themes are still relevant," Lisa Unander, assistant director of education at the museum, told Newsday.
