2 Struck In Separate Crashes, 1 Snarls Traffic During The Morning Commute Early Wednesday In Stony Brook: PD

The pedestrian and bicyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.

BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — A pedestrian and a bicyclist were struck in two separate crashes in Brookhaven Town over 16 hours, one snarling traffic early Wednesday in Stony Brook, Suffolk police said.

The pedestrian was struck on Middle Country Road in Ridge and suffered a minor leg injury at around 3:22 p.m. on Tuesday, according to police.

A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and suffered a non-life-threatening injury on North Country Road in Stony Brook at around 6:35 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.
