At 11 p.m. Monday, Wile's daughter posted on Facebook: "My father is still missing after 16 hours. We are not sure why the police can’t find him or the other 30 plus people looking for him. I feel he may be in the woods someplace lost. We need to spread the search out past the Three Village area. I feel he could be lost in Nissequogue or Head of the Harbor. It was so hot today and he had no water."
Wile wears an ID bracelet and he may be "extremely disoriented" if you see him, his daughter said.
Anyone with information on Wile’s location is asked to contact Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652 or call 911.
