- The Neighborhood House in Setauket welcomes the 42nd Artists' annual exhibit. Over forty local painters will display their fall creations in canvas and other techniques. The reception is set for Oct. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. (TBR News Media)
- Emma Clark Memorial Library will host the "Stirring Up History: The Timeline of Food" on Tuesday, Oct. 25! Register here to join Diane Schwindt at this fun food workshop and with a tasting of authentic food through time at 6:30 p.m. (Patch)

- Suffolk police are offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who gives information that leads to the arrest of the driver who hit and killed Tyler Phillips. The hit-and-run happened on Granny Road in Coram on Oct. 12. According to his sister, who survived the incident, Phillips pushed her out of the way to save her from being hit. (Port Jefferson Patch)
