'Best Doctors' List Includes 14 Stony Brook Hospital Docs

New York Magazine's 2012 list features the top three percent of doctors in the greater New York metropolitan area.

Out of a pool of more than 60,000 doctors, 14 affiliated with have been named among the top three percent of doctors in the greater New York metropolitan area, the hospital announced Monday.

The list is published annually by New York Magazine and includes 1,160 physicians in 63 areas of specialty.

Of the 14, which includes both full-time and voluntary physicians, one newcomer to the list is Dr. Henry Woo, a neurosurgeon, and Dr. Dennis Davidson, a neonatologist.

“Being selected for the New York ‘Best Doctors’ list is a distinction for a select group that illustrates our entire medical staff’s commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care for our patients,” Fred Sganga, the hospital's interim CEO, said in a statement.
