Person Burns To Death In Pickup Truck On Long Island: Police
The person was found dead inside of a pickup on the north shoulder of 25A once the flames were extinguished, cops say.
SETAUKET, NY — A person was found burned to death in a pickup in East Setauket on Friday night, Suffolk police said.
Officers responded to a vehicle fire on the north shoulder, west of Panteleons Farm on Route 25A, at around 11:12 p.m., and the Setauket Fire Department extinguished the flames, according to police.
Once the flames were out, the person's body was discovered inside the 2004 Dodge pickup that was registered to an out-of-state business, police said.

The person has not yet been identified, according to police.
The fire appears to be non-criminal in nature, police said.
