Box Truck Driver Hurt As Vehicle Rolls Down Road And Crashes Into Building In East Setauket: Police

Suffolk's Motor Carrier Safety Section responded, as well as the Brookhaven building inspector responded, police say.

EAST SETAUKET, NY — The driver of a box truck was hurt when the vehicle he was driving struck a building in East Setauket on Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

The driver was in the rear of the truck while it was parked on Lower Sheep Pasture Road when the vehicle malfunctioned, rolled down a hill, and struck a building at around 1:40 p.m., according to police.

The driver, a man, sustained a non-life-threatening foot injury, police said.
