Critters, Flowers – and Maybe Showers – in Three Village Tuesday

Your daily guide to what's happening in the community.

Good morning, Three Village. Here’s a look at what’s happening on Tuesday.

- Today at 11 a.m., families can head down to the red barn at Frank Melville Memorial Park for a free program called "Water Habitats and the Animals they Support," given by a naturalist.

- However, you might want to have a backup plan for family activities, in case it rains. Weather.com is predicting an 80 percent chance of rain with possible thunderstorms.

- "Emma's Garden" at the library is officially up-and-running for patrons to enjoy just one more aspect of the local public library – its outdoor gardens.

- The Stony Brook Film Festival is in its sixth day at the Staller Center. Check out the inside scoop on the technological upgrades the Staller Center underwent and stay tuned for more in-depth coverage of the festival.

- For the 21-and-over crowd, there's "Stump Trivia" at the Country Corner at 8 p.m. and a free buffet at 10 p.m. at the Velvet Lounge.
