Donate Blood, Find Your Child's Teacher on Tuesday in Three Village

Your daily guide to what's happening in the community.

Good morning, Three Village. Here’s a look at what’s happening on Tuesday.

- On Monday, the Three Village Central School District opened up its Parent Portal so families can see their children's elementary school class assignments. Many parents reported problems accessing the information, which remains available today, which the school district attributed to a large volume of users on the portal.

- If you're able to donate blood, consider going to one of two blood drives today: Emma S. Clark Memorial Library and Stony Brook Yacht Club. Both come with a special perk: Mets tickets at the library, or Hamptons Classic horse show passes at the yacht club.

- Today's weather is expected to be sunny and around 72 to 79 degrees, so consider doing something outside, such as the free outdoor movie at LaValle Stadium or a nature walk through Frank Melville Memorial Park.

Tonight at 6 p.m. at town hall, Brookhaven officials will hold a special public hearing on the Carmans River Conservation and Management Plan and the related draft SEQRA document.

- Temple Isaiah will host a free seminar at 7:30 p.m. on Jewish educational events for disabled teens and adults; call 631-751-8518 for more information.
