- Help Emma Clark Library to make a difference this holiday. Two drives will be hosted to help those needing pajamas and extra warm clothes this winter. The "Pajamas for Those in Need" Drive starts on October 31 through November 20, and the "Share the Warmth Drive" from Nov. 21 until Dec. 31. All donations will be collected at the entrance. (Patch)
- Long Island News 12 features the documentary "Sandy: 10 Years Later," showing the impacts of the superstorm that fiercely hit our island on October 29, 2012. For the next few days, stories of loss and overcoming challenges will be shared by residents who had their lives changed by the natural disaster.
