THREE VILLAGE, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Partners w/ Great Cycle Challenge USA to help fight against kids cancer. He has a goal to raise $5,000 & is currently halfway there. He is committed to bike 300 miles for the month of September. He also works w/ local charities.

Reason for recognition:
Every year, he sets bigger goals to meet. He has raised thousands of dollars for this charity over the past couple of years; they are doing wonderful things. Cancer has greatly affected both of our families, and he wants nothing more then to see it beat.

One thing to know:
He is extremely selfless. I admire how giving he is to others in need even when we don’t always have a lot to give. He truly hopes to make a difference in the lives of others and has been an incredible example to our children.
