He 'Organized Multiple PPE Donations': Three Village Local Hero

THREE VILLAGE, NY - When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Reason for recognition:
Fusheng organized multiple personal protective equipment donations to SBU hospitals during the height of COVID-19 in March and April. These greatly helped doctors and nurses who were in critically short supply of PPE.

One thing to know:
Fusheng is a professor in SBU bioinformatics department. He also runs a very successful summer science program for high school students around the nation.
