Historical Building Goes From Service Station to Veterinary Practice

We asked you to guess where this historical photo was taken.

On Monday we asked you to identify this building. Did you get it right?

According to the Three Village Historical Society, this building located on Route 25A was built around 1920 and served as Cooper’s Service Station.

"It served the community until it was purchased by Joseph Arnaboldi, D.V.M., who converted the station to his veterinary hospital around 1950," the historical society wrote in an email. "Today his practice is operated by Dale Kuhn, D.V.M."

Among the goals of the Three Village Historical Society in its mission is to nurture the public appreciation for the area's historical heritage and develop educational resources that provide access to the Society's store of knowledge.

Join the Three Village Historical Society on June 1 for its annual yard sale at 93 N Country Road. Proceeds will benefit the society's education programs and offerings. Donated items, vendors and individuals welcome. Space available. Drop off items for yard sale on May 30. To reserve space or for more information call (631) 751-3730 or visit TVHS.org. The yard sale is free and open to the public.
