Honor Society Induction Postponed Due to Cheating Investigation

The annual National Honor Society induction was scheduled this week.

The Three Village Central School District confirmed Thursday that it postponed the National Honor Society induction, originally scheduled for this week, due to the in two sections of an Advanced Placement class.

The district said in a statement to Patch it will be rescheduled once the investigation is complete.

The district would not say how many students on the list of honorees were involved in the investigation.

Interim superintendent Neil Lederer has called the incident a serious violation of the district's code of conduct, telling Newsday in a May 4 report that "an 11th grade student's Moodle account, which is used for classroom homework assignments, has been subjected to unauthorized access by a number of students in two sections of an AP class."
