HSBC Shuts Remote Banking Branch [Empty in Three Village]

HSBC customers and even customers of other banks used to be able to take advantage of a remote drive-up banking service located about two miles west of HSBC's main branch at 300 Main Street in East Setauket. But on April 6, the bank shut down the satellite location.

Neil Brazil, HSBC's vice president and senior manager of media relations, provided this statement to Patch: "As standard business practice, HSBC Bank USA regularly reviews its branch network to ensure alignment with evolving patterns of customer behavior and the bank’s strategic focus on markets with strong international connectivity. Following our most recent analysis, a decision has been taken to consolidate the E. Setauket Remote Drive Thru into the E. Setauket branch, less than two miles away."
