JHS Students Recognized For Extraordinary Achievement On Math Exam
Several students excelled on the American Mathematics Competition 10 exam.

Junior high school students in the Three Village Central School District were recognized for their outstanding achievement on the American Mathematics Competition 10 exam. The exam is a challenging multiple-choice examination designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills.

At P.J. Gelinas Junior High School, Michael Retakh and Eric Zhong scored in the top 5%, qualifying for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination. Additionally, Yuming Su and Anna Xing were awarded a third-place prize for their scores. At R.C. Murphy Junior High School, Harry Gao qualified for the AIME.
The AIME is a three-hour examination with questions much more difficult than the AMC 10. It provides the exceptional students who are invited to take it with yet another opportunity to challenge their mathematical abilities.
