Ahead of the event, seventh through 12th grade students were encouraged to take an interest profiler quiz to identify their interests and better navigate the fair. Through this quiz, students were able to learn about professions that are a suitable match to them. They then visited the booths that matched their profile results.

Many of the booths offered interactive activities for students. For example, Gabrielli Truck Sales had a tire changing station and students got behind the wheel of an impaired driving simulator that the Suffolk County Police Department brought along.

Each year, the fair is hosted by the 3V-IAB, or Industry Advisory Board. The 3V-IAB is a club that provides networking opportunities, internships and work experience with businesses across the area.
