NYS Assembly District 4 Preview: Steven Englebright Vs. Edward Flood
Englebright, the incumbent Democrat, has been an assemblyman for 30 years. Flood will look to unseat him.

TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN, NY — NYS Assemblyman Steven Englebright (D—East Setauket), first assuming office in 1992, will look to fend off Republican challenger Edward Flood on Nov. 8 for the State Assembly 4th District.
Englebright has been an assemblyman for 30 years. Flood will look to end Englebright's streak.

Englebright most recently defeated Republican Michael Ross by picking up 55.1 percent of the vote to Ross's 44.1 percent. Libertarian Adam Fischer-Gledhill got 0.7 percent of the vote.
Flood defeated Thomas Wiermann in a tight Republican Primary race in June by getting 51.2 percent of the votes to Wiermann's 48.8 percent.
