- Stony Brook resident, Carole Trottere, has been reaching out to the community in memory of her son, Alex Sutton, who passed away in 2018 due to a heroin overdose. Trottere gave out pizza and Narcan training kits for his 35th birthday and had been talking about her experiences with the hope of helping others who are struggling with addiction. (Patch)
- This week, Three Village Patch recognizes local hero Ann Pellegrino, who is in charge of the Bethel Hobbs Community Farm located in Centereach. - Pedego Electric Bikes in Stony Brook created an event to support local families this Thanksgiving. The "Cranksgiving" event calls bikers in the Three Village community to ride for a good cause, bringing a donation of $10 0r $20 that will be invested in groceries to help families struggling with food insecurity this holiday. The group will gather at 690, 25 A, East Setauket, on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to join! (Facebook Events)
