Police Investigate Burglary on Jeffrey Lane

• Police are investigating a burglary on Jeffrey Lane in Setauket in which someone pried open a kitchen window and stole jewelry, an iPad, an Xbox game set, headphones and shoes. The theft is thought to have occurred between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sept. 18.

• A resident of Park Street in Setauket reported that someone scratched the paint on a 2009 Toyota parked on the street in front of the home sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 12.

• A 51-year-old man from Setauket was arrested Sept. 16 at Walmart in East Setauket and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, for allegedly stealing assorted items from the store.
