Police Seeking Land Rover Driver Who Fled Crash

Police are asking for the public's help to find the hit-and-run driver.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a person who left the scene of a car crash in Setauket earlier this month.

According to Suffolk Police, a person driving a white Land Rover with no front bumper or front license plate fled the scene after colliding with the rear-end bumper of a 2011 Ford pickup truck at 490 Pond Road on Jan. 12 at about 11:50 a.m. A similar vehicle is pictured above.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and your message to “CRIMES” (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com.
