Sunset Seminar, Photography Workshop Set for Thursday in Three Village
Your guide to what's happening on Thursday.

Hello, Three Village. Here's what Thursday looks like in our community.
- Sunsets at West Meadow Beach on nice evenings are already pretty spectacular. Tonight's "sunset seminar" with historians Barbara Russell and Beverly Tyler might make it even more so: The pair will lead a historical tour of the beach starting at 6 p.m. Reserve your spot by emailing egerle@brookhaven.org.
- Keep in mind, however, that there's a 60 percent chance of rain in the afternoon to evening today, according to Weather.com.
- In nearby Port Jefferson, the public library will host a CPR/AED (automated external defibrillator) class for adults at 5:30 p.m. tonight. Click here for more details.
- Our own library will hold a class in digital photography, given by a professional photographer and coach, tonight at 7 p.m. Call Emma S. Clark Memorial Library at 631-941-4080 for more information.
- One local attorney feels New York State's wrongful death laws are archaic. Mark T. Freeley is urging residents to write to State Assemb. Steve Englebright, D-Setauket, if they agree. Click here to read why he feels the law is wrong. Do you agree?
