- The Three Village Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Brookhaven co-hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration for D.J.’s Clam Shack in Stony Brook on Dec. 15. The new location at 1007 Route 25A is the company’s fourth on Long Island. Owner Paul Riggio was presented with Certificates of Congratulations from the chamber, Town and County .
- Tyler Stephenson-Moore was there to help the Seawolves with another victory. The redshirt-sophomore rose up and pinned Daryl Banks III’s shot to the glass and the Stony Brook men’s basketball program improved to 7-4 with an electric 64-63 win over Saint Peter’s on Dec. 18 at Island Federal Arena. - Police is offering a cash reward to find the woman who stole packages off a front porch in Stony Brook. Detectives released a picture of the porch pirate. Police said the woman stole boxes from a home on Stony Brook Road Sunday night around 8 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact police. (News 12 Westchester)
- Port Jefferson’s St. Charles Hospital, that is used for children’s occupational therapy, received a special donation of 45 Teddy Bears for children patients. During much of the COVID-19 era, staffers have had to turn away physical donations, but this time they made an exception. Hospital administration wanted to see these bears put to work. (Newsday)

- Stony Brook Athletics: "Before Holiday break our Seawolves came together for our Bears and Sunshine event! Our student-athletes wrote notes and put together 75 bears and blankets that were donated to Sunshine Alternaternative Education and Prevention Center!" (Facebook)
