🌱 Three Village Daily: Deer Breaks Into SBU + FD Fights Blaze

Here are the top 5 stories in Three Village today:

1. A deer entered a classroom at Stony Brook University through a small plexiglass window. On Feb. 8, police and ECOs worked together to escort the deer out of the classroom. The mission was successful, and the animal had no major injuries besides a small cut in the neck caused by broken glass. (smithtownmatters.com)
2. Fire departments from the local communities controlled a house blaze on Charm City Drive. The aggressive fire broke on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Fire marshals from Setauket, Port Jefferson, and Selden worked together to control the fire from inside the house. The community mourns two pets who lost their lives during the incident. (Facebook)
3. John F. Kennedy Middle School teacher, Dawn Esser, was honored by Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn as an "Educator of Excellence." Esser was honored during the Comsewogue School District Board of Education meeting on Feb. 16, she's been serving the district for 16 years and has been inspiring students with her special classes and tenure. 4. Stony Brook Cancer Center released a letter with tips for cancer prevention. February is National Cancer Prevention Month, and the letter was released to encourage the community to do annual screenings. Click here to learn some ways to prevent the disease. (Press Release Desk)
