- Three Village Historical Society will open registrations for the next lecture series soon! The webinar will be held on March 21 at 7 p.m. The topic of discussion will be the Long Island Rail Road history and how it was formed to be one link in a long chain of railroads connecting the East Coast of America. - On Feb. 17, Farm to Table Catering and Café by Filomena, had its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The business is owned by Filomena Lombardi and is located at 2460 Nesconset Highway, Suite #1 in Stony Brook. The event was attended by Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich, the Three Village Chamber of Commerce, and Jenna Alberti from New York State Assemblyman Steve Englebright’s office. (TBR News Media)
- Three Village Chamber of Commerce was part of the grand opening ceremony of the Island Physical Therapy of East Setauket. Located at 6 S. Jersey Ave., Unit 6B in East Setauket, the clinic works closely with all local high school athletes from Ward Melville High School, Port Jefferson High School, Comsewogue High School, Mount Sinai High School, and many others. - U-Haul Company partnered up with Sunoco of Port Jefferson Station and opened a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Port Jefferson Station community. Sunoco of Port Jefferson Station at 200 Route 112 will offer services like U-Haul trucks, towing equipment, moving supplies, and in-store pickup for boxes. When a customer rents from a U-Haul dealer, they are directly supporting small businesses in their community. (LongIsland.com)
- Tourism on Long Island is expected to climb up as MacArthur Airport becomes busier with new airlines coming in. MacArthur could generate $276 million in tourist spending annually, according to an HIA-LI analysis, these numbers are based on the possibility of 100 full flights a day, as opposed to the current 20 flights a day, according to airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken. - Three Village STEM enrichment foundation and Three Village School district feature a STEM summer camp. The camp will be held at the Ward Melville High School and will be for grades 1-12. The camp will include classes that promote enrichment in science, technology, engineering, and math. Classes will meet for three hours each day from 9 a.m. until noon. Registration forms and fees must be mailed in during the registration period of March 1- April 30. Enrollment is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. (TVSD)
- Three Village Chamber of Commerce after-hours networking is set for Wednesday, March 16, at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, and the event is hosted by the Webster Bank located at 1047 N. Country Road, Stony Brook. (TVCC)
