  1. Mari Irizarry has been appointed by the Board of Trustees as its new director of the Three Village Historical Society. Irizarry has been working in the TVHS since 2016 and has been growing with her visionary leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. (TVHS)
  2. Save the date for the Three Village School District annual Junior Banquet. The event will take place on Saturday, March 12, from 7-11 p.m. at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook. Tickets are $80 and will be on sale during lunch periods in the Science Wing hallway. (Three Village School District)
  3. The Section XI Boys Swimming Championships happened at Stony Brook University on Feb. 12. Among winners, Comsewogue’s Noah Giunta placed first in the 100-yard butterfly event with a 50.67 and second in the 100-yard backstroke with 51.59. Congratulations to all athletes!

  4. Nearby News: Fire Island Ferries, Inc. is planning to suspend services after failed negotiations with the Village of Ocean Beach board. On an official statement, the Ferry company expressed intentions to suspend services on March 1, because they have been operating under an expired contract for over a year but are hoping to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
