  1. Suffolk Police detectives are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Port Jefferson Station. The accident happened on Friday, Jan. 7, around 7:39 p.m. A pedestrian was crossing Nesconset Highway when he was struck by a 2019 Honda driven by Kevin Henry. A 2013 Volkswagen driven by Jessica Blydenburgh also hit the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene. The drivers were not injured. Both vehicles were taken for a safety check.   2. The Town of Brookhaven will hold its Annual Interface Coat Drive from Jan. 10 to Feb. 11 to help residents in need stay warm this winter.   3. Three Village School Community Forum is set for Jan. 26. The forum aims to increase communication within the district in conversations about the future of the schools.
