- Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police are asking for the public's help to locate a woman who stole merchandise in the Smith Haven Mall. The crime occurred in a kiosk at the mall, and she allegedly stole 30 Pop Sockets. The stolen merchandise has a value of approximately $600. Anyone with information about these incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS. (TBRNews)
- Three Village community is embraced by George Hoffman. His work in the community has been valuable and includes the revitalization of the civic association. He also co-founded the Setauket Harbor Task Force, helped head up the Route 25A Citizen Advisory Committee and more. - No snow this winter is hurting business financially. Matt Nachamkin, the manager at Schaefer’s Ace Hardware, said the store is overstocked and for now, products remain on shelves. Winter clothing has also been staying on the racks at Sundown Ski and Surf in Levittown, owner Winfried Breuer said there's no need of heavy winter clothes and there is no business for him. (News12)
- Port Jefferson's Mac N' Cheese Crawl is back! From Jan. 29-30 participants will taste mac n’ cheese creations from 14 restaurants. Tickets are $25 dollars and can be picked up at the Port Jefferson chamber office, located at 118 West Broadway. (Greater Long Island)
