- Vanderbilt Museum will host Stony Brook University researcher Heather Lynch for a presentation called "Mapping Penguins with satellites, Drones and other Technologies." The event will take place at Charles and Helen Reichert Planetarium on Jan. 13, at 7 p.m. The presentation is based on Lynch's studies of Antarctic penguins. Tickets are $6 per person, members free. - Six concert series at All Souls Church in Stony Brook continues. The concerts are on Saturdays at 6 p.m. The church is located at 61 Main St., Stony Brook. - Three Village Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 6 p.m.
Overflow seating in the Training Room and Gymnasium for viewing via livestream will be available as needed. During the meeting an "employment history of a particular person" will be discussed.
