Here are the top 4 stories today in Three Village:

  1. R.C. Murphy Junior High School seventh and eighth-grade students participated at the annual school spelling bee. Seventh-grader Elisabeth Gembinski won after correctly spelling “counterfeit.” After winning 15 local spelling contests, She will now compete in the next round in the Scripps National Spelling Bee and compete against other local winners from local school districts. (Three Village School District)
  2. A New York State Supreme Court judge has lifted Gov. Kathy Hochul's mask mandate but the decision was overturned and the mandate continues. Judge Thomas Rademaker said the mandate was made without the state legislature and Gov. Kathy Hochul has no emergency powers, however, Judge Robert Miller in NYC granted the state's request for a stay of a Long Island judge's ruling while the governor's administration pursues an appeal. (News12)
  3. Save the date for an evening of networking with others in the Three Village business community. Refreshments will be provided on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Three Village Chamber of Commerce. (Three Village CofC)
