2. Setauket Elementary School physical education teacher Stephanie Peragallo has been awarded the 2021 Future Professional of the Year. The nomination was given by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. In a statement, Executive Director of the Health Education Department Kevin Finnerty said, “Ms. Peragallo has been an excellent addition to our physical education department, and this award she earned last year is a testament to her potential as a teacher and solidifies our decision in hiring her."
