Here are the top four stories today in Three Village:
- Three Village Historical Society announced the return of the 28th Annual Spirits Cemetery Tours in Setauket. Tours will leave every fifteen minutes on Oct. 22, starting at 5 p.m. For more info and purchase tickets, visit www.TVHS.ORG. (Three Village Historical Society)
- A sensory Garden was inaugurated at the T. Bayles Minuse Mill Pond Park in Stony Brook. The project was supported by PSEG Long Island, which donated $3,500 to be invested in sensory equipment to help the sensory-impaired visitors to have an independent nature experience. (TBR News Media)

- Local History: Did you know the first post office established in Port Jefferson was called was opened by a Setauket resident who named the building “Satucket?” The location was first opened in 1801, having Zachariah Hawkins serving the community as the postmaster. Hawkins moved from Setauket to Port Jeff and lived at the building that is now the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church on the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Main Street. (TBR News Media)
