Three Village Students Create 'Word Cemetery'
Minnesauke Elementary School fifth graders laid certain words to rest this month.

Press release from the Three Village Central School District:
Oct. 18, 2022
Fifth graders at Minnesauke Elementary School in the Three Village Central School District are “laying words to rest” in a Halloween-themed English activity. Students chose words they think should never be used including harassment, hatred and violence. They wrote their reasons on gravestones and created their own word cemetery that hangs outside their classroom. The activity made students think about their own word choices, encouraging them to use positive words in their conversations and writing.
