Fourth graders in Ms. Turano’s health class at Arrowhead Elementary School in the Three Village Central School District are learning all about the skeletal system. Students participated in several activities to identify and distinguish different types of bones.

They diagnosed specific types of bone fractures on x-ray images, assessed their knowledge in a bone trivia challenge and finished the unit by exploring nutrition options to strengthen teeth and bones.
