6 Armed Men Rob Lenox Hill 7-11, Injure Worker: Police

A group of six shoved a worker to the ground and pulled out a knife as they stole $14 worth of treats from a 7-11 Sunday, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A worker was injured after a group of six stole $14 of snacks from a Lenox Hill 7-11, according to police.

The six unidentified suspects enter the 7-11 convenience store on the corner of Second Avenue and East 65th Street on Sunday evening at around 7 p.m., police said.

As they tried to leave the store without paying for various items, including a Twix bar, Pop-Tarts, a Kinder Egg, Funyuns and a pair of gloves — valued at roughly $14 — a 20-year-old worker tried to stop the in-progress theft, according to an NYPD spokesperson.

He was shoved to the ground by the group, officials said, and cut his finger open in the fall.

As he lay on the ground, one person in the group pulled out a knife before leaving the store with their ill-begotten treats, police said.

Two members of the group fled via bicycle while the others fled on foot, police said.

The worker was treated by medics at the scene, according to officials.

No description or footage of the suspects was available as of Monday afternoon, an NYPD spokesperson said.
