Another UES Pedestrian Slammed By Truck: FDNY
A person hit by a vehicle on Tuesday was the fourth victim of traffic violence in just over a week in the neighborhood, said the FDNY.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A pedestrian hit by a truck in Yorkville Tuesday afternoon was the fourth victim of neighborhood traffic violence in a one-week span, officials said.
The woman was hit by the truck on First Avenue near East 83rd Street about 12:10 p.m., officials said.
Video from social media shows emergency responders working to rescue the woman from under a small tanker-style truck.

First responders rushed her to New York Presbyterian-Weil Cornell Medical Center, but officials had no further information on her condition.
A week earlier, two women were hit just a block away from each other on East 68th Street on First and Second avenues. One of them was critically injured.

Another woman was reportedly hit by a van on Second Avenue and East 86th Street Sunday.
