UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Patrick Murphy’s Market, which has served Carnegie Hill for 28 years on Madison Avenue, is closing its doors for good at the end of the month, its owners said.
The gourmet grocery store, between East 92nd Street and East 93rd Street, announced the closure in a message written by owner June Kim on social media, posted on the Carnegie Hill Neighbors account.
"After 28 wonderful years serving the Upper East Side community, Patrick Murphy’s will be closing its doors permanently at the end of November," Kim wrote.

"For nearly three decades, you have welcomed us into your daily lives, trusted us with your grocery needs, and built this store into something far more meaningful than just a place to shop."
The grocery store is on the ground floor of a building purchased in February for $10,000,000 by the Spence School, according to Crain's New York. The private all-girls school has not released its plans for the building yet.
