Burglar Who Licked Sleeping UES Woman Arrested, Police Say

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A Queens man is facing charges for breaking into an Upper East Side apartment and licking and kissing the face of the woman who lives in the home while she slept, police said.

Salih Kolenovic, a 40-year-old Jamaica resident, was arrested Friday and charged with sexual abuse and sexually motivated burglary, police said. He is accused of entering an East 65th Street and First Avenue home through an unlocked door to lick and kiss a 28-year-old woman, police said.

The bizarre sexual assault occurred on the morning of Sunday March 24, police said. The victim woke up during the assault and confronted Kolenovic, causing him to flee the apartment, police said.

The woman was not physically injured, police said.
