Central Park Cyclist Jumped By 8 In Knifepoint Robbery: NYPD
A man biking home on East Drive Wednesday night was robbed by an armed group, hours after another similar incident in the park, police said.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — A man cycling home through Central Park was jumped by a group of eight people, who then robbed him at knifepoint of his e-bike and phone Wednesday night, police said.
It was the second knifepoint robbery in Central Park on Wednesday, with the first happening nearly 20 hours earlier about 10 blocks south.
The victim, a 38-year-old man, was riding home on his e-bike along East Drive heading north near East 77th Street about 8:30 p.m., police said.

Suddenly, a group of eight people surrounded him — and one of them pulled out a knife, authorities said.
The armed man told the cyclist to stop and shoved him to the ground, and the group took off with his $1,200 e-bike and his $1,300 smartphone that was attached to the handlebars, officials said.
