Data Shows UES Buildings Growing Taller, Report Says

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — New data shows more than 50 buildings on the Upper East Side and Upper West Side were built higher than 328 feet since the year 2000, according to a Spectrum News 1 report.

NY1 analyzed data from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and determined that 27 buildings of that height have been built in each neighborhood. This includes buildings currently under construction.

Together, the buildings would rise more than 23,000 feet in the air, the network reported. That's more than 13 One World Trade Center buildings combined. Almost all the buildings are residential.
