UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Demolition permits for two rent-regulated apartment buildings on the Upper East Side were filed by a real estate firm earlier this week, according to the New York City Department of Buildings.

The two buildings, at 316 and 318 East 77th St., between First Avenue and Second Avenue, are both five stories tall, and are both currently empty, according to the filing. Both permit requests are under review by the city.

Developer Sean Lavin of Townhouse Property Group filed the plans on Monday, according to the Department of Buildings database. Townhouse Property Group bought both buildings in 2019 for $5,000,000 apiece, according to the city.
