CENTRAL PARK, NY — Two more people were attacked inside Central Park on Sunday and early Monday, police said.

A person threw a rock at a Hollywood star and another hit a woman with a hammer, according to police and reports.

Both attacks appeared to be random acts of violence and no property was taken in either incident, unlike the two other recent Central Park attacks.

In the first attack on Sunday at around 7:45 p.m., a 27-year-old man threw a rock at a 55-year-old man on East Drive near East 90th Street, police said.

The man was Hollywood actor Michael Stuhlbarg, known for his roles in "Boardwalk Empire," "The Shape of Water," "A Serious Man" and "Men in Black 3," according to the New York Post.

Police said Stuhlbarg chased after his attacker, a currently homeless man named Xavier Israel, who was then arrested on East 91st Street near Fifth Avenue.

Israel was charged with assault, officials said, and Stuhlbarg refused medical attention at the scene.

Hours later at about 12:15 a.m. on Monday, another attacked took place on the other side of the park.

A 39-year-old woman told police that she was walking near Center Drive and West 64th Street when a man on a moped hit her in the back with a hammer, officials told Patch.

Police said the attack appeared to be unprovoked and the man fled on the moped in an unknown direction.

The woman suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene, according to an NYPD spokesperson.

Officials said no arrests have been made and the attack remains under investigation.
