The mega-popular Upper West Side bakery will bring its oversized cookies across town sometime this year.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — One of the Upper West Side's most popular neighborhood staples is moving crosstown to ply its prized cookies at a new Upper East Side location this year, a spokeswoman for the business said.
Levain Bakery, which currently has two Upper West Side stores, has secured space for a new location on East 83rd Street and Third Avenue, Eater New York first reported. The bakery, which draws lines that stretch down the block at its current locations, is expected to open some time this summer, a bakery spokeswoman told Patch.
The Upper East Side Levain is one of two new locations opening in the city this year, the other will open on Bleecker Street in NoHo, Eater reported. Levain Bakery currently has two Upper West Side locations and outposts in Harlem and the Hamptons.
