This lost pup named Lenox was found Thursday morning on East 89th Street.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Officers from the NYPD's 19th Precinct, which patrols the Upper East Side, found a lost dog in the neighborhood and reunited the pooch with his family.
The dog, which is named Lenox, was brought to the police Thursday morning by a good Samaritan who found the animal on East 89th Street, police said. The dog had no collar or microchip and was brought to the Animal Care Centers of New York City, police said.
Police credited the "power of social media" as key to the effort to reunite Lenox with his humans.
